We would be pleased to rent our rooms for your events. Whether it is for  a simple training, a rehearsal, or conference or an exhibit, the Georges-Vanier Cultural Center team will accommodate your needs and welcome you warmly. 
 
  

   

Remarkable for the quality of its service, for its bright and beautiful rooms and for its convenient location, the Georges-Vanier Cultural Center offers several halls and technical services which will answer your needs. Do not hesitate to get in touch with us to discuss your needs, check the availability of halls, or simply, to visit our installations. Our team will do its best to answer your questions.

Please note that special rates are available for cultural or non-profit organisations or artists. Proof may be required. Rehearsal rates are also available for  cultural groups. A special welcome to up and coming artists!    

Available halls     

Each of the halls can be adapted, according to the equipment you need. For  inquiries, please contact the Georges-Vanier Cultural Center, at 514 931-2248.    

The Great Hall    

( Maximum capacity of 200 people):     

Rate: $50 /an hour, for a minimum of 4 hours    

This rate includes : planned catering space within the room, 2 private change rooms, access to the cloakroom, women’s and men’s washrooms, elevator and emergency stairwell.    

Equipment available upon request : refrigerator, 12 6 ‘ x 3 ‘rectangular tables, 200 stackable black chairs , 35 wooden easels, 10 black stools, 5 small tables, etc.    

The Dance Hall     

 ( Maximum capacity, variable according to use, up to 45 people):   

 Rate:  minimum 4 hour block: $160 /  8 hour block: $300 / 12 hour block: $420  This rate includes: mirrors and dance barre, access to the cloakroom, women’s and men’s washrooms in the corridor, the elevator and the emergency stairwell.    

Equipment available upon request: portable sound system with IPod dock, 10 groundsheets, stackable black chairs, 6 ‘ x 3’ rectangular tables, small cocktail tables , etc.    

 
  
The Gallery
(Maximum capacity variable according to use, up to 50 people):  
Rate: minimum 4 hour block: $140 / 8 hour block: $270 / 12 hour block: $395 This rate includes: access to women’s and men’s washrooms in the corridor, the elevator and the emergency stairwell.  
 
Available equipment upon request:  6 ‘ x 3′ rectangular tables, stackable black chairs , wooden easels, black stools, small cocktail tables, portable sound system, flip chart, coat racks, etc.  

 

Classrooms     

(3 rooms with variable maximum capacity according to requirements, of 12, 15 or 25 persons):  Rate: 4 hour block : $120 to $150 / 8 hour block: $260 to $280 / 12 hour block: $355 to $380    

This rate includes : access to women’s and men’s washroom in the corridor, the elevator and the emergency stairwell.    

Equipment available upon request: rectangular 6 ‘ x 3′ tables, stackable black chairs, wooden easels, black stools, small cocktail tables, portable sound system, flip chart, coat racks, etc.     

 

Other equipment the Georges-Vanier Cultural Center can provide:    

- Projection screen;  

- Projector;    

- coffeemaker with coffee (40 or 100 cups);    

- sound system equipment (mixer, speakers, microphones, music, etc.) * subject to additional fees;    

- events alcohol permit * subject to additional fees, allow minimum 20 days delay for obtaining permit    

- Rental outside opening hours *subject toadditional fees;    

- Pianos * subject to additional fees for tuning    

- Etching press;    

- Music stands available on request.    

Additional information    

The Georges-Vanier Cultural Center has been managed since January 1, 2009 by Voies Parallèles, a non-profit organisation  for the cultural development of the SouthWest,. Situated in the former City Hall of Ste-Cunégonde, in the heart of  Vinet Park, this hundred-year-old building was extensively renovated a few years ago  by the City of Montreal. Come discover this hidden marvel!
