Learn a vibrant dance form powered by refreshing and uplifting moves that captures the essence of Indian cultures. Immerse yourself in Indian film music and explore the playful world of Bollywood. The class is led by Ambica Sharma, an experienced dancer and choreographer who is driven by her love of dancing and sharing it in a simple and fun manner.
The objective is to teach Bollywood dancing in a simple and fun setting, offering authentic moves, energetic experience bringing flavours of this ever-evolving dance form that is relaxed and lets you experience the soul of Indian culture. It’s a heart-pumping workout which provides great cardio!
Price for 10 classes: 150 $
Ambica Sharma is a Montreal based performer, dancer and choreographer. She teaches Bollywood and performs at cultural festivals and corporate events. As a multidisciplinary artist, she is also involved in
radio, theater and languages. She hosts radio shows with Radio Humsafar Montreal & CKUT McGill. Her work in theater and language include lead roles with New Brunswick Theater Company and training the South African cricket team for Hindi language ads. She writes poetry and manages Kabir Poetry Club Montreal. Her passion for lifelong learning has kept her motivated to continually explore creative pursuits in areas which are quite different from her training in the field of Biosciences when she completed a master’s degree from IIT Roorkee, India. She is actively engaged in community involvement of kids and women through culture and is an avid supporter of women empowerment.
